Dispute Beast

Great job in taking the first step to improve your credit! Remember, credit reporting agencies have 30 business days to respond in writing or update your credit report after receiving your dispute. Here’s what each possible response means:

  1. No response: If the credit reporting agency does not respond within the required 30 business days, they are legally obligated to remove the disputed item from your report. However, follow-up is necessary to ensure this action is taken.
  2. Stall letter: Sometimes, an agency might send a letter that effectively delays the process by asking for your patience while they review your dispute. This tactic is used to buy time, and your persistent follow-up is essential.
  3. Updated: This indicates that the agency has corrected inaccuracies on your credit report. They should provide you with a new copy of your credit report so you can verify the changes.
  4. Deleted: If an item cannot be verified or is found to be inaccurate, it will be deleted. This is the best outcome as it can directly improve your credit score.
  5. Request for more information: This can also be a stall tactic. Despite Dispute Beast sending in disputes that already include 2 or 3 forms of identification, agencies might still ask for more information.
  6. Verified: If you receive a notice stating that the information has been “verified,” this means the agency has confirmed the accuracy of the disputed item with the creditor or information provider. This item will remain on your report unless further discrepancies can be proven.

Every 40 days, Dispute Beast will reanalyze your credit report and tailor the best strategy for your next round of disputes. This ongoing optimization ensures that each “attack” is effectively targeted, adapting to any responses or changes in your credit report. Persistence is key in credit repair, much like maintaining fitness. Regardless of the responses received, it’s crucial to continue the attacks every 40 days. Also, keep your Beast Credit Monitoring active to continue using Dispute Beast services for free. This consistent effort is essential for achieving the improvements you deserve in your credit health!
